Our Sister Susan's Tribute from the service `

These are my random thoughts with links to thoughts from others about John.

My Brother John, will always hold a very special place in my heart. He and I along with our father could never live in the same house after teenagerhood for John and I because of our personalities...  The three of us have all been so stubborn throughout our lives that cohabitation, when it has happened, has been more than difficult...  I see now, more than ever how similar the three of us were and still are, even though Daddy and John are not living on this earth with us now.

I will  never forget times I would talk to John in the middle of the night on the phone - helping him understand computers.  One memory that I will always have is  the last trip that he helped me move from the farm - the last trip we made was at about 5 in the morning and we ended up in in his small pickup - me with my cat hiding in my coat - and John in the middle straddling the stickshift with Denali in the driver's seat - because Denali had broken a window of the cap leaping out of the back of the pick up.
